Semicolon & Yabatech Unite to Supercharge Nigeria’s Tech Talent Pipeline
New MoU launches industry-aligned training, hands-on labs and startup support to produce job-ready graduates and spark entrepreneurship.
Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria — Semicolon and Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world technology practice. The collaboration links Nigeria’s first higher institution of learning with one of Africa’s leading tech education and innovation providers. Together, both organizations will co-create programs that align education with the demands of today’s digital economy building capacity for innovation, entrepreneurship, and job creation.
Under the agreement, Semicolon and Yabatech will roll out joint initiatives in:
- Specialized technical training combining classroom learning with Semicolon’s industry-focused bootcamps.
- Hands-on experience through labs, internships, and project-based placements.
- Applied research and innovation tackling real market challenges.
- Knowledge exchange programs including workshops, hackathons, and guest lectures.
- Startup support through mentorship, incubation, and venture funding via Semicolon Ventures.
